Commercial Finance Manager

Role Statement

  • To work closely with Sales and Business Unit Heads to provide commercial financial support. This will involve monitoring and measurement of operational performance, detailed revenue analysis including customer profitability analysis, yield and pricing analysis, competitor and market share analysis to support decision making and management of short and long term goals, including the preparation of key business cases to roll-out new and existing product lines.
  • Be involved in new business initiatives including product initiatives/ launches and financial involvement in new partnerships
  • Working closely with CFO and CEO to drive the business forward

Primary Aim

  • Full responsibility for the Commercial Finance function, including the management of three direct staff members who will be performing the traditional Financial Planning & Analysis function, Sales forecasts/analytics as well as acting as a true business partner

Software Engineer

Role Statement:

There is now an exciting new opportunity available to join the team at Yahoo!7 and be part of this international online giant!

Our media engineering team works closely with the production and design teams to engineer the media properties that make up the core of Yahoo!7's user-facing services. News, sport, travel, movies, music, video content, TV sites? the list goes on (and on). You will be dealing with feeds, databases, web server-side scripting and batch processing. The Software Engineer is responsible for turning the design and vision of a potential site into a reality that forms part of the world-class site that is Yahoo!7. You will be responsible for the project plan, design, development, testing and maintenance of some of these key properties.

Ad Technology Specialist

Role Statement:

Support of the AU/NZ Ad Technology Manager in running rich media campaigns and developing Rich Media opportunities on the Yahoo!7 and Yahoo! Xtra network. Supporting the Sales Operations team with delivery, creative and ad systems issues.

Primary Aim:

To provide redundant support for all rich media campaigns, to ensure that the calendars and specifications are maintained, to manage the system bugs and enhancement requests, to process all rich media vendor creative, to assist the Ad Technologies Manager with Ad Tech issues.

    Media Marketing Executive

    Role Statement:

    The purpose of the role is to manage the marketing requirements for the Lifestyle portal, and to provide marketing support for other products in the Media business unit.

    The role will be involved in the major projects of the marketing team, and will take on responsibilities as appropriate.

    • Marketing support for the media marketing function - Tasks will encompass end to end project management for online campaigns, including post campaign analysis; budget tracking and management; compiling competitive reviews; agency liaison.
    • Own the marketing requirements for the Lifestyle Portal - including liaison with marketing associates for SEM/SEO, Research and Analytics, and Network Integration opportunities.

    Broadband Manager

    Role Statement:

    The Broadband Manager is primarily responsible for the delivery of the services to Telecom New Zealand as part of the Yahoo!7 and Telecom New Zealand Closed Portal Agreement. The role requires directly managing complex projects on a case by case basis, working closely with the other internal stakeholders (End to end PM. Finance, Marketing, Customers Care, Network Operations and Head of Mobile and Broadband) and, importantly, closely managing the Telecom NZ counterpart. The success of the role will be measured in terms of meeting and exceeding roadmap goals and the successful delivery of the premium services to Telecom NZ.

    The role has a very strong product focus. As such the Broadband Manager will need to have a very good understanding of the status of the product related projects and processes.

    The day to day relationship is focused on the delivery to Telecom NZ of a portfolio of existing and to be developed services offered to Telecom NZ ISP customers as a value added service. The Broadband Manager will need to closely work alongside the end to end product manager to ensure the successful delivery of the premium services.

    Central to the role is the task of confidently and successfully interact with two "external" stake holders. With Telecom NZ the Broadband Manager will be required to carefully manage the valuable partnership, to manage the partner's expectation and overdeliver on such expectations. In doing so the Broadband Manager will also need at times to prioritise, pressure test and if appropriate push back on certain Telecom NZ requests.

    The role will also require the smooth operation of the product related governance processes such as Product summits. The Broadband Manager will also be point of escalation for any issues that the other teams are unable to resolve.

    With Yahoo! Inc the Broadband Manager will be need to keep the awareness high of the Telecom NZ relationship amongst the Product support team within Corporate Partnership Team. The role will also require making sure Yahoo!7 maximises leveraging the experience, best practices and resources to bring value to the Telecom NZ partnership.

    In working alongside the End to End PM, the Broadband Manager will need to ensure the End to End PM is empowered to execute on product related initiatives and support the End to End PM hands-on on a as needed basis.

    Internally within Yahoo!7 the Broadband Manager will be the TNZ "hero" ensuring high awareness of the TNZ relationship and needs with the view of securing the required resources and generally support. This will require to interact with different business units: a) network and customer care team to make sure they are informed and can plan against product roadmap b) the dedicated Marketing to make sure the team is empowered to develop and execute on the marketing plan based on product roadmap, c) the Head of Mobile and Broadband to provide regular reports on the performance of the alliance.

    Finally, as Yahoo!7 broadens its partnerships with other telcos locally, the Broadband Manager's responsibilities will extend to these new partnerships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the TNZ relationship as it pertains to the product services commitments.
    • Be the TNZ "Hero" within Y!7 by successfully negotiating internally on behalf of TNZ for prioritization and allocation of resources and support.
    • Define the TNZ product strategy in consultation with internal and external key stake holders.
    • Be the direct counterpart of the TNZ Head of Broadband Product: project prioritisation, expectation and conflict management.
    • Be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the TNZ product roadmap.
    • Communicate and engage the other core internal business units (PR, Marketing, Customer Care and Network Operations) on all TNZ product aspects and implications.
    • Oversee and be accountable for all major product and project launch (redesigns, new product launch).
    • Proactively explore within Y!7 for new areas of differentiation.
    • Develop and negotiate with third parties the provision of additional VAS for TNZ (premium services, content acquisition etc.)
    • Provide Head of Broadband with regular executive reports.
    • Support Head of Broadband on the broadening of the TNZ partnership.
    • Manage new services and products that will get launched outside of the existing relationship.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    1. Minimum of 7 years experience as an online Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager

    Client Services Executive

    Role Statement:

    To manage, retain, grow and satisfy Yahoo!7's most critical business relationships, those customers will be designated by the Sales Director and Head of Sales Ops and Client Services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • The Client Service Executive will actively participate in and coordinate our pre-sales efforts, including collaborating with the Sales Team on proposal development, presentations and media planning offering creative thinking and insights to the process.
    • The Client Service Executive will take the lead role in the contracting and committal process for all insertion orders and agreements; this may include the negotiation of the terms and conditions for advertising.
    • The Client Service Executive will coordinate and oversee the execution of all campaigns, including, program launch, media delivery, optimization and campaign reporting.
    • The Client Service Executive will assist the Head of Sales Ops and CS with the month and quarter close revenue recognition process by proactively tracking and managing campaign delivery and trouble shooting discrepancies and variances from bookings as they arise.
    • The Client Service Executive will provide campaign wrap-up reporting that will offer the client insights and recommendations developed in conjunction with Sales.
    • The Client Service Executive will aid in trouble shooting all aspects of a client's campaign to ensure customer satisfaction. This will include but not be limited to: resolving billing and delivery discrepancies, working with third and forth party technology and research vendors, working with credit, finance Business Development, and Business unit personnel.
    • In conjunction with the Sales Team and the Head of Sales Ops and CS the Project Manager will communicate and help enforce all of Yahoo!7's policies including; ad specifications, bundling requirements, pricing guidelines, turnaround times and general advertising terms and conditions.
    • Travel to client location as needed.
    • Program execution and client satisfaction are the two main areas of accountability. This will be measured on client satisfaction ratings for Sales Directors book of business, accuracy of delivery, and renewal rate.
    • Focus on client retention, growth, renewal, and client satisfaction. Co-owns success of the account with the Sales Team.
    • Has excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, client expectations and people in order to lead implementation and help drive the Directors book of business to meet revenue targets.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Candidate must have strong oral and written presentation skill. The ability to learn and operate a number of internal computer programs and systems.
    • Candidate must be self-motivated but able the work with a team. Candidate must be able to apply creative thinking and exceptional problem solving skills.     Ad Operations Executive

    Role Statement:

    Yahoo!7's Ad Operations Representative will work closely with the Sales and Client Services Teams to ensure and execute successful advertising programs on the Yahoo!7 Network. We're looking for a candidate who will provide world class service to external customers and internal counterparts. He/She will understand the sense of urgency and attention to detail inherent in delivering successful media campaigns at Yahoo!7.

    • The Ad Operations Representative will provide troubleshooting assistance and guidance for testing and scheduling advertising campaigns, as well as troubleshooting creative and operations-related issues for all campaigns under his/her management.

    Platform Manager - Video (1 year full-time contract)

    Role Statement:

    We are seeking a Platform Manager for Yahoo!7 Video. The Video Platform Manager is responsible for planning, implementation, reporting and maintenance of global and local video initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Day to day contact for Yahoo! Inc (US) Video (specifically the US streaming Team & Player Teams as well as keep across the Video Product & Content Teams).
    • The point person for all live streaming activities
