Welcome - 4000km Anti-Spam Drive - Tricks to Fight Spam - Spammers' Techniques - Got PPMT?- Yahoo! Mail

What's this about a Yahoo! Mail Anti-Spam Drive?

Yahoo! is taking the fight against spam on the road with the Yahoo! Mail 4,000km Anti-Spam Drive. Why? Because spam annoys us as much as you and we want to send a strong message to internet spammers that unsolicited email (aka spam) is unwanted and an invasion of privacy. We hope that it will soon be made illegal.

Yahoo’s 4,000km Anti-Spam drive starts in NSW and visits major regional towns throughout the east coast of Australia. Why are we doing it? To give Australians the chance to register their support for legislation banning spam. The thousands of petitions from around the country will then be taken to Parliament where the roadshow will conclude.

With e-mail usage expected to double in three years* unwanted mail is becoming a major issue. In addition to supporting the Government’s firm stance on spam, Yahoo! is committed to reducing spam and has recently introduced a new and more powerful version of SpamGuard, a feature of Yahoo! Australia & NZ Mail, which will significantly reduce the amount of spam delivered to users.

Want to meet up with the Yahoo! Mail truck and have your say? Don't forget, we're taking your message to Parliament House! Check out your home town or nearest local town to find out when you can have your say:
