The New Domain Name Service, will Make it Easy for Anyone to Search, Register and Pay for a new Domain
SYDNEY, October 29, 2001 Yahoo! Australia & NZ has brought
simplicity and ease to buying a domain name with its new site, Yahoo!
Australia & NZ Domains (http://domains.yahoo.com.au). Teaming with Melbourne
IT to provide the service, the Yahoo! site enables individuals and
businesses to easily search for, register and pay for a domain name.
"Many individuals and small business customers who use Yahoo! Store, Yahoo!
Australia & NZ Shopping, SOLD.com.au and Yahoo! Geocities have asked for a

There is no cost to search the database for available names., Registering a
.com.au domain name costs $140.00 and is current for a full two years
