Steve has worked with the likes of Sir Bob Geldof, Kim Wilde, ACDC, Kiss, Boy George and Deep Purple designing their posters, t-shirts and album covers throughout the 70's and 80's. For the next seven days, die hard music fans have a one off opportunity to acquire a unique piece of music art heritage. Working mostly with airbrush inks, acrylics, pencils, brush and gauge, Steve's imaginative work quickly gained him a reputation for having 'impact'. His unique style saw him progress from drawing comic strips in a small London studio to suddenly working alongside many of his musical heroes.
There are fifteen original artworks by Steve up for auction including poster and t-shirt designs used to promote Deep Purple's Knebworth Fayre concert in 1985, Kim Wilde's 'Kids in America' tour in 1981 and Boy George's Culture Club 'The War Song' single. His legendary airbrushed artwork used internationally for the programs, posters and
t-shirts at the Live Aid 'Global Jukebox' concerts in 1985 is also up for auction.
Other artworks available include the original airbrushed poster for the 1982 UK launch of Star Trek's 'The Wrath of Khan', the poster artwork for the Reading Rock Festival in 1998 and the pencil drawing used for Austereo's Triple M poster.
All artworks come with a certificate of authenticity from the artist.
