Yahoo! Australia & NZ Announces SITES OF THE YEAR (2002) 10 Australian and New Zealand Sites to Be Voted on By Public to Determine "Best Site" of The Year   SYDNEY, 17 December 2002 - Yahoo! Australia & NZ's Sites of the Year are in! Yahoo!'s Australian & New Zealand editors (the web surfing team who choose the sites to be added to the Yahoo! directory) have been in a huddle mulling over their favourite new sites of the year...and they've put their Yahoo! Surfer seal of approval on a mix of 10 Australian and New Zealand sites...now it's up to the public to pick the number one site of 2002 in a poll that will run until December 31, 2002. Winner to be announced January 3rd, 2003. Criteria: The Yahoo! editorial team revisited the best sites they'd added in 2002 to select the 40 stand-out sites that they then whittled down to 10. The judging was based on a number of criteria including: the purpose/intent of the site, how good the site looked, usefulness/depth/creativity of content, the entertainment/information factor, and ease of use....so that's basically design, content and navigation!
