SYDNEY, 15 January 2003 - Vodafone Australia customers now have mobile access to Yahoo! Mail and Messenger through Vodafone's TXTä service. Launched today, the new message service means customers have the freedom to use email and instant messaging on their mobile. Vodafone customers can receive, read and reply to messages from their Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! Australia and NZ Mail accounts using TXT. Yahoo! Messenger is an online messaging service, while Yahoo! Mail is a free online email service that comes with an integrated address book, large storage capacity and Spamguard. "People want to be totally mobile and the Yahoo! service means our customers are free to access their messages on the move," said Vodafone Australia Managing Director Grahame Maher. "We know our customers love TXTä, it's quick and convenient, Yahoo! Messenger gives our customers even more ways to keep in touch, we're sure this new service will be a big hit."
