The Best Australian & New Zealand Web Sites of 2003 in Public Showdown Mix of 10 Australian and New Zealand Sites to Be Voted on By Public to Determine "Best Site" of The Year   SYDNEY, 4 December 2003 - Yahoo! Australia & NZ's Sites of the Year are in! Yahoo!'s Australian & New Zealand editors (the web surfing team who choose the sites to be added to the Yahoo! directory) have been in a huddle mulling over their favourite new sites of the year...and they've put their Yahoo! Surfer seal of approval on a mix of 10 Australian and New Zealand sites...now it's up to the public to pick the number one site of 2003 in a poll that will run until December 31, 2003. The winner will be announced in early January 2004. Criteria: The Yahoo! editorial team revisited the best sites they'd added to the Yahoo! directory in 2003 to select the 40 stand-out sites that they then whittled down to 10. The judging was based on a number of criteria including: the purpose/intent of the site, how good the site looked, usefulness/depth/creativity of content, the entertainment/information factor, and ease of use....so that's basically design, content and navigation!
