A Week of Lamb for Yahoo!7

In a bid to curb the unAustralian behaviour that continues to spread across the nation, Sam Kekovich and Yahoo!7 have joined forces to remind Yahoo!7’s five million strong Australian audience to take up the tongs and serve lamb this Australia Day – anything less would be unAustralian.

In the week prior to Australia Day the Yahoo!7 “oo’s” will become iconic Australian lamb cutlets to celebrate the Australia Day holiday. Yahoo!7 will feature the logo in the week leading up to Australia Day to help turn the tide of unAustralianism.

“Let this serve as a reminder to every Australian, that when you’re online the answer is right in front of your eyes – the lamb chop,” Sam commented.

In his 2009 Australia Day Address to the Nation, which first went to air last Sunday, Sam exposes how a wave of “bottom-feeding” banker-led unAustralianism has resulted in the demise of our economy and caused us to lose focus on what’s really important – a generous serving of lamb chops.

“A chop tastes the same in a designer outfit as it does in stubbies and thongs. Which reminds us you don’t need to be an overpaid, pin-striped parasite from a millionaire’s factory. To be truly happy, you just need a chop and cold one,” Sam declares in his address.

The lamb inspired Yahoo!7 logo joins Yahoo!7’s ever-growing catalogue of holiday logos and illustrates the extent to which lamb chops on the barbecue have become synonymous with Australia Day.
