Mark Helvadjian is the General Manager, Products for Yahoo!7. In this role, Mark is responsible for leading the strategy and development of Yahoo!7's product offerings including key product areas: Search, Applications, Media and Integrated Consumer Experiences.
Mark has worked for Yahoo! since 2004 and joined Yahoo!7 following the launch of the joint venture in Australia. During this time Mark has overseen successful product launches such as the y7mail domain and Yahoo! Mail which has resulted in audience growth of 40 per cent. Mark was also responsible for the launch of the Yahoo!7 Front page in 2008 which saw an increase of over 80 per cent in audience.
Prior to joining Yahoo!7, Mark was a senior product manager at Yahoo! Inc in the UK from 2004. In this capacity Mark worked with international product and engineering teams in both the US and across Europe to ensure the successful launch of global Yahoo! communications products including Yahoo! Messenger with Voice, and Yahoo! Mail.
Before Yahoo!, Mark was employed by NetBenefit/NetNames as group product manager, where he worked closely with engineering teams and the marketing department to manage the company's web strategy and online channels. During this time he oversaw the successful launch of the domain name industry's first fully-automated corporate domain name management system which has gone on to be used by over 30 per cent of the FTSE 100.
In his early career, Mark was a self-employed web designer and e-business consultant, where he helped consumer brands use the internet to extend product and service offerings. Mark lives on the North Shore of Sydney with his wife. He enjoys both writing and listening to music, and has a love for amateur photography.
